Summer Holidays In The Mountains Of Colorado

Posted on 3rd February 2012 in Mountain Vacation

During the Summer months, Colorado turns into a Summer mountain paradise: the weather is warm but not too hot, the outdoor activities endless, world class cultural events in abundance & the scenery is spectacular.

Hiking, mountain biking, rafting, kayaking, golf, horse riding & fishing are just a few of the outdoor activities for you to enjoy in the mountains over the summer:

Hike up one of the peaks through beautiful shady forests, along streams and perhaps you’ll hear the rush of a waterfall in early Summer or a beautiful pristine trickle later in the year. Emerge above treeline into a high meadow or rocky terrain before seeing whether there’s still a snowpatch or two at the top.

Thousands of miles of mountain bike trails await you in Colorado including many miles of single track. Winter Park alone has over 600 miles of mountain bike trails and is called “Mountain Bike Capital USA”. Choose from the easier blue trails or push yourself on the very technical black trails. Take a trail from the towns or cycle up some of the ski trails, marked in the Summer for bikes and see the mountain from a very different angle.

Vacation Of A lifetime By Smoky Mountain Cabin Rentals

Posted on 29th October 2011 in Mountain Vacation

Smoky Mountain cabin rentals offer vacationers the opportunity to have a vacation of a lifetime. The reason for this is that there is just so much to do if you vacation in the Smoky Mountains, and let’s face it, to get right out there into the thick of nature is actually a wonderful experience.

The wonderful thing about renting a cabin is that you can not only have the quaint, cottage-like accommodation which is easily complimented by the wilderness, but for the price you would pay on a standard hotel, you could have a luxury cabin! How many times have you rented a hotel room and had to deal with the disappointment of being woke up or otherwise disturbed by the occupants of a nearby room? That’s not a problem when you rent a comfortable cabin in the Rockies.

Vacation Tips Of Disneyland

Posted on 27th September 2011 in Mountain Vacation

Walt Disney World has been described as the happiest place on earth and who am I to argue? Despite the vast amounts of Disneyland vacation tips and information available online, I felt it was about time that my blog provided some Walt Disney World answers to some Walt Disney World Questions – based on my experience there a few years ago.

Whilst I’m no Walt Disney World expert, I can share some of my tips that helped make our family trip to Disneyland and Orlando Florida a truly memorable trip of a lifetime.

So, how happy a place is Disneyland Florida? Well, despite my most grumpy efforts in the name of research and the kids having bought me a “Grumpy” hoody to wear on the day, after just 20 minutes in the Walt Disney Magic Kingdom in Orlando I didn’t have a care in the world and it’s safe to say that I was a very happy man indeed – blimey, I must be going soft.

Aberdare Africa Kenya Mountain Vacation

Most people only see the Aberdare country club because it is the departure base for the Ark, A night game viewing lodge. The minivan disgorges their international, camera toting cargo before lunch. After lunch the dark green ark buses roll out heading for the Aberdare forest. The crowds come back next morning looking weary and disheveled to herded back into minivans and on to the next stop.

For those who have the time to stay however the Aberdare country club can be a supremely quiet and relaxing getaway. The main house, a romantic stone building with red tiled roof was built in 1937 by the Lyon family from England.
